Yoga Instructor Tamara Fayad in Fort Lauderdale Florida

1. What sparked your motivation to become a yoga instructor?

Seeing the transformation that yoga made in my life and wanting to help others find that transformation through yoga is what really sparked my interest in becoming a yoga instructor. I knew the profound benefits that yoga had and I wanted to have a fulfilling career that allowed people the chance to find the amazing benefits of yoga for themselves.

2. How has yoga transformed your life?

Yoga has transformed my life in a multitude of ways. The most profound way that yoga has transformed my life is that it has taught me the ability to come back to myself. Whenever life starts to get in the way, and I get caught up in the responsibilities of life and starting to feel overwhelmed and lost, I know I can always find my way back to myself through mindful breath and movement and sitting in stillness with myself.

3. What are some of the transformations you have seen in your clients since committing to a yoga practice?

Being a private yoga instructor, I have the privilege of really getting to see exactly how yoga can transform people. I have students who have learned how to control their anxiety through pranayama and meditation. I have students who have found themselves again through the connection to self that yoga helps cultivate. I've had students who move from a fear mindset of "I could never do that" to a powerful mindset of achieving their asana goals.

4. What are some of your favorite yoga poses and why?

There are so many great asanas. I would say that I love Sun Salutations, the flow is a beautiful way to get the body moving, to get the breath flowing, and to connect mind, body, and breath together.

We hope you enjoyed this interview as much as we have!
